Happy Birthday Blessed Michael J. McGivney

It was on this day in 1852, that Father Michael J. McGivney was born. He was an American Roman Catholic priest from New Haven, Connecticut. He founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882. He died on August 14,1890. He was  only 38 years old. He was Beatified by the Catholic Church on October 31, 2020, 172 years ago today since his birth.

Tuesday August 13, 2024 Knights of Columbus Council #7449 dedicated a new statue of Blessed McGivney. A previous statue was destroyed by a storm last year.
